Mr. Solan deals with all foot and ankle disorders and sports injuries. He treats children as well as adults. “He has special expertise in the painful big toe, and is a member of the international team pioneering Cartiva surgery. He runs Instructional Courses on key-hole ankle surgery for sports injuries. He also has a particular interest in the treatment of stubborn heel pain.  He established and runs the UK's first 'One-Stop' clinic for heel and ankle problems such as ankle tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. He has pioneered the use of minimally invasive muscle release surgery and shock wave therapy for chronic heel pain."

  • Mr Solan is very active in research and training, having produced 20 scientific publications in the last five years alone on a broad range of themes, with a particular interest in the treatment of intractable heel pain.  He runs the Heel Pain Clinic at LFAC.
