Mr Imbuldeniya specialises exclusively in looking after patients suffering from complex hip and knee problems and sporting injuries, using cutting-edge computer technology and proven, precise techniques which he has learned from international leaders in their fields.

Mr Imbuldeniya is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and The British Hip Society. He is on the Executive Committee of the Computer Assisted Orthopedic Society UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England
Mr Imbuldeniya is trained in the use of technology to assist surgery and recovery. He has completed a Masters degree in Global Health Policy from Imperial College, London, focusing on innovation and in Health Policy from Imperial College, London, focusing on innovation in healthcare which he actively is involved in and continues to research.
He has expertise in keyhole surgery of the knee including ligament reconstruction, computer assisted partial knee replacement, computer assisted total knee replacement, keyhole surgery to the hip, ceramic hip replacement, particularly in the younger adult and complex re-do surgery of failed or problematic hip replacements.
Mr Imbuldeniya is author to a number of recent research and clinic audit articles published in peer reviewed medical journals relating to hip, knee and orthopaedic trauma surgery. He continues to present his work at national and international medical conferences and is currently actively involved in a number of trials.

Mr Imbuldeniya proudly works as an NHS Consultant Surgeon in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the West Middlesex University hospital, London, part of the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and has strong ties for research collaboration with Imperial College, London.
Undergraduate and post graduate training
He graduated as a medical doctor in 2001 from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals Medical School, University of London.
His junior surgical training was based at The Royal London Hospital and Kings College Hospital. His senior training posts were based in North West London including appointments at Charing Cross Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Specialist fellowship experience
He undertook international specialist fellowship training at the renowned Mater Hospital in Sydney, Australia, the largest joint replacement centre in the Southern Hemisphere where he learned and perfected new cutting edge surgical techniques in hip and knee surgery from some of Australia’s most respected and experienced surgeons.
Mr Imbuldeniya is actively involved in training the next generation of surgeons in London and is an examiner for final year medical students from Imperial College. He collaborates with GP’s, physiotherapists and clinical nurse specialists to provide musculoskeletal update courses and find ways to improve patient experience and outcomes together both in the NHS and private sectors.
Interests outside of work
Hailing from West London he is a lifelong Brentford FC supporter, and cherishes any spare time with his young family, playing, cooking, eating and trying to keep his weight down at the gym.
